# Porting an old Monsoon suite into archer2

Hi community,

I’m using an old suite from Monsoon. I tried to switch the site where the model runs to Archer (there is not Archer2), but it didn’t work. I’m getting some `undefinedError` messages (e.g., `RCF_PROX` is undefined). I think I need to update the `.conf` file. Is there a tutorial I can follow? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Estanislao,

What’s the suite id?  
Sounds like this suite is very old and doesn’t have any of the setup required for ARCHER2. Once we have the suite id we can advise if there is a better suite to use or point you to an appropriate one to copy all the ARCHER2 settings from.

Hi Ros,

Thanks you so much for all your help. I think the suite is quite old — its idx is _u-dt847_. I’ve been reviewing it and I believe I know what needs to be done, but I’d like your opinion first.

I found an `archer2.rc` file and uploaded it to the `sites` folder in Rose. I believe I need to edit the `rose-meta.conf` file to make archer2.rc selectable as the machine.

The main issue I see is that I’m not sure how many variables need to be changed.
