# PUMA2 access after ARCHER2 end of service (20 Nov 2026)

I’ve received the ARCHER2 end of service email confirming that ARCHER2 login access will end at 17:00 GMT on Friday 20 November 2026. I mainly use ARCHER2 to access PUMA2, and I will still need PUMA2 after that date.

The ARCHER2 email and documentation don’t mention PUMA2. I couldn’t find any information about its future on the CMS website either. Could you please tell me:

1. Will PUMA2 continue after ARCHER2 ends, or will it be replaced or moved to another system?
2. If it continues, how will I log in once the ARCHER2 login nodes are no longer available?
3. What will happen to my PUMA2 home directory (/home/n02/n02-puma//)? Will it be migrated, or should I copy my suites and files elsewhere myself before 20 November? If so, where do you recommend?
