May be a red herring but n_nonchem_tracers is incremented by 9 in um13.9_PSC_scheme/src/control/core/top_level/ukca_config_defs_mod.F90 for the section which pertains to, among other schemes, strat-trop but, there is no increment for the section for cri-strat.
Do all the strat-trop test runs pass?

atmos_strat_nrun and atmos_strat_rigorous_16x8 fail with:
? Error from routine: GLUE_CONV_6A
? Error message: Mid conv went to the top of the model at point 16 in seg on call 1

Thank you for finding this. I didn’t think the naming was an issue here as it worked in a previous branch, but that seems to be it!
I will make the fix and try to address the new errors popping up.

The atmos_cristrat jobs still have the problem with 9 missing tracers - in these cases tracer_varnames does not contain BIN1 etc ( or BIN_1…) – I don’t know if this is a problem or not??
