Missing restart dump at start of new cycle

Hi CMS team,

I have a puzzling error, my UKESM1.2 suite u-dl797 fails in cycle 20750101 with the following error:

Error code: 1
? Error from routine: io:file_open
? Error message: Failed to open file /work/n02/n02/adittus/cylc-run/u-dl797/share/data/History_Data/dl797a.da20750101_00
? Error from processor: 0
? Error number: 32

I checked, and the file does not exist in that location. The previous cycle appears to have completed successfully. Is there a simple way to re-run the previous cycle, or any other way to regenerate this missing restart?

the file is in here:

/work/n02/n02/adittus/cylc-run/u-dl797/share/cycle/20741001T0000Z

why - I don’t know? Looks like postproc ran too soon.

I think this is a case for perturbing the restart dump?
Odd coincidence that it should be the same missing restart that causes a problem…

it does seem odd, but perturbing the start file is worth a try.
