Current time precedes start time of data

Hello,

My suite u-co410 is an attempt to create some free-running (as opposed to nudged) simulations from 1979 to 2014.

When submitted the suite fails with an error related to ‘Current time precedes start time of data’, which is clearly an ancillary file. It’s unclear from the log files which ancillary/dataset this relates to. Could you remind me how to interpret this part of the logs please?

u-co410 uses files from

/work/y07/shared/umshared/CMIP6_ANCIL/data/ancils/model_derived/ukesm1.0_ssp370_r2i1p1f2_u-be690/n96e/timeseries_2015-2100

I’d suggest that any of those will cause the date mismatch.

That would be a mistake I can change.

For future reference, is there a striaght-forward way to interpret the codes in these logs?

I don’t have a magic formula -

the log says

9 Atmos Ancillaries to be updated.
Anc field 1 Stash code 60 Interval 1 Days
Anc field 2 Stash code 31 Interval 1 Days
Anc field 3 Stash code 24 Interval 1 Days
Anc field 4 Stash code 32 Interval 1 Days
Anc field 5 Stash code 216 Interval 5 Days
Anc field 6 Stash code 217 Interval 5 Days
Anc field 7 Stash code 218 Interval 5 Days
Anc field 8 Stash code 96 Interval 5 Days
Anc field 9 Stash code 132 Interval 5 Days

then later, it succeeds for

REPLANCA: UPDATE REQUIRED FOR FIELD 3
REPLANCA - time interpolation for ancillary field, stashcode  24

so now you know that the field - stash code relationship.

It stopped here

REPLANCA: UPDATE REQUIRED FOR FIELD 5

so the stash code is 216 –

earlier in the log, you’re told

It’s simpler to do than to say how to do.

This might not always work of course.
