I just wanted to let you know that when I try to log out of puma2, in order to return to ARCHER2, it sometimes hangs. It’s as if there is still a puma2 window open, but there isn’t. (I often use emacs in a new window, but I definitely close this before exiting.) I solve this issue by using control-c and then it returns to ARCHER2. I just wanted to check if this is an issue?

Thanks. We’ve had no other reports of this. I’ve just tried logging in and out several times after having had windows (including emacs) open and closed them and it’s not hanging for me. If I leave a window open (e.g. rose edit), then it does hang.
I can only suggest when it happens again. Login to puma2 from another window and use ps -flu <username> to see if you can see what’s still running.
