I recently added a new aerosol tracer (34127) to KESM1.1 AMIP and UM 13.0, which seems to work fine. However, I found an inconsistency between its monthly output (UPM) and 3-hourly output (in UP8). The values in the monthly file are fine, whereas those in the 3-hourly file are incorrect, remaining close to the initial values given in the reconfiguration. I checked the created restart file (in the *.da file) and found the values there are correct and consistent with the monthly mean output. This indicates that the 3-hourly output did not capture the correct tracer value, whereas both the restart and the monthly mean did. The 3-hourly data are stored in UP8, and the configuration for its output in the “STASH requests” seems fine to me. The relevant suits are u-dv236 or dw021. Please advise where I should look.Best,
