Unphysical albedos being created

Hello,

I am trying to run a GA7-ish configuration of the nesting suite (I just want a recent ish global atmosphere configuration and that was one that was built into my suite options). I am using FLake and also some other things to alter the initial conditions. The suite I am currently using is u-dj613.

However, when I try to run the suite it is producing some errors associated with JULES, specifically the following:

I don’t really understand JULES and I can’t find any documentation on this error. I have tried messing with some JULES settings in various configuration files but no luck so far - it seems to always come back to this error. Does anyone have any advice for how to debug this?

For anyone interested, Simon Tucker from the Met Office was able to help me out with some advice on this issue. I had to change two settings in app/um/rose-app.conf or equivalently in the physics packages app/um/opt/rose-app-[config].conf (which supersede settings in the generic um/rose-app.conf). These were making sure that the albsnf_nvgl_io parameter was not ignored (under [namelist:jules_nvegparm]) and setting l_albedo_obs=.true. under [namelist:jules_radiation].
