Crashed with REPLANCA: PP HEADERS ON ANCILLARY FILE DO NOT MATCH

Dear CMS,

My suites u-de654 and u-de655 crashed during the 3 month run starting on 20220401 after running for several simulation years. I got an error message in the title. These are UKESM1.1A UM13.0 nudged runs on Monsoon.

I saw this ticket so this is likely due to the end of one of ancillary files.
’ Replanca: pp headers on ancillary file do not match ’

And in rose-app.conf I see these lines;
ancilfilename=‘/projects/ukca-meto/hadzm/ancil/gregorian/n96e/reynolds/v2.1/reynolds_seaice_198109-202205.anc’
ancilfilename=‘/projects/ukca-meto/hadzm/ancil/gregorian/n96e/reynolds/v2.1/reynolds_sst_198109-202205.anc’

So I think these are likely to be the culprits. Aren’t there sea ice and sst data available for 2022 and 2023 so I can run the suites a little longer?

Hi Masaru,

There is a file from 2014 to December 2023 here:

/projects/ukca-admin/inputs/ancil/gregorian/n96e/reynolds/v2.1

Mohit likely won’t be producing full datasets from 1981 any more as it is complicated to make a whole file with everything in just for a few extra months.

Thank you for your help. I got the same info from Mohit ten minutes earlier than this. And it looks like my suites are now running fine.
