Issue transferring to Jasmin [FAIL] transfer.py # return-code=127

I having trouble transferring to jasmin. I am trying this for the 1st time on suite du673

I thought I had followed the corrected guidance (via Dan Hodson):

To set up the xfc transfer space I think you have to follow:
https://help.jasmin.ac.uk/docs/short-term-project-storage/install-xfc-client/
and then
https://help.jasmin.ac.uk/docs/short-term-project-storage/xfc/#initial-setup
And then point TRANSFER_DIR at your workspace.

I was expecting the data to arrive in

/work/xfc/vol7/user_cache/jgrist002

The error message refers to ‘transfer.py’ which looks like it might be missing.

/work/n02/n02/jgrist02/cylc-run/u-du673/run1/log/job/19500101T0000Z/pptransfer/01/job.err

Could someone assist with this.

Hi Jeremy,

In order to transfer data to JASMIN you need to make sure you have post-processing switched on which first builds the postprocessing scripts containing the transfer.py script and stages the data ready for transfer off of ARCHER2.

See suite conf → Build and Run panel.
