JASMIN cylc v8 and PUMA2 workflows

I noted in the latest update from JASMIN that they are moving to supporting only cylc 8 from the summer onwards.

What impact will this have on workflows being cylc 7.8.12 from PUMA2? Currently my UM workflow has one step running on JASMIN, which uses rose_bunch to post process my data files. Will this still work, or will I have to remove that task from the workflow?

And - if we can’t run this post-processing step on JASMIN anymore, do you know if it is possible to remove the step from our workflow while it is still running - or would we have to remove the step and then restart the workflow?
