Rose Bush on PumaTest

Hello.

Recently I started using Rose Bush. Therefore, I have a few questions about it.

In the main page (https://pumatest.nerc.ac.uk/rose-bush/suites?user=luciana#) we have the list of fields: suite name, cycles list, task jobs list, last active time, project, and title. So, for instance, I have:

suite name * cycles list * task jobs list * last active time * …
u-bo026-n512-ens3-r3 * cycles list * task jobs list * 2021-11-08T20:55:26Z

When I click in cycles list, I have:

Suite is running on pumatest:43015, last activity 2021-11-08T20:55:26Z

cycle point * last active time * …
19880901T0000Z * 2021-11-07T11:15:38Z

When I click in task jobs list, I have:

Suite is running on pumatest:43015, last activity 2021-11-08T21:00:27Z

task status * job status * cycle point * task name * job # * submit time * …
submitted * 19880901T0000Z * atmos_main * 1 of 1 * 2021-11-07T11:15:34Z

So my first question is: shouldn’t the time informed in the main page be the same as informed in the task/cycle? And would it be possible to insert the status of the last task as one extra field in the main page?

Kind regards, Luciana.

Hi Luciana,

The answer to your first question, I think is “No”. This could occur, for example, if a task is in a queue and the suite will still be active and polling. At the top suite level it will register an active time but the task hasn’t done anything for say 4hours. I think a restart of a suite with orphaned tasks would also generate a similar scenario.

The columns displayed are hard coded in Rose/Cylc. Rose Bush (and Cylc Review) is end-of-life and has been superceded in the new cylc 8.

Regards,
Ros.

Ok, thanks for the clarifications!
