Using xconv to open model output

Hi there,

I tried to use Xconv on Archer2 to open UKCA model outputs but failed. I can launch Xconv successfully, but it asked to choose file type from a list. After I selected “64 bit IEEE byte swapped” for one of the model files, such as /home/n02/n02/emxin/cylc-run/u-de518/work/20190901T0000Z/atmos_main/pe_output/de518.fort6.pe000,
Xconv simply disappeared. I am not sure if it is a problem of xconv or simply a problem of the model output (corrupt?). Thanks!

Best,
Xin

/home/n02/n02/emxin/cylc-run/u-de518/work/20190901T0000Z/atmos_main/pe_output/de518.fort6.pe000 is a log file in a plain ascii - use vi or emacs or similar to view it. See 3. Running a UM suite on ARCHER2 — NCAS Unified Model Introduction.
