Hi,
I’d like to run a 2014 timeslice run but I am struggling to find some of the files (DMS, CHL, canopy height, land area fraction, sst, seaice) on ARCHER2. Previous jobs point to a folder within the model_derived ancils which does not seem to be there anymore. Could you point me towards where these might be kept please?
Thanks so much!
Hannah

There’s nothing for us to go on here - what folder were previous jobs pointing to?
Grenville
Hi Grenville,
Sorry: Some files live: /work/y07/shared/umshared/cmip6/ancils/any/timeslice_2014 (rcp and sad) and some files live: /work/y07/shared/umshared/cmip6/ancils/n96e/timeslice_2014 (land use, easy aerosol, ozone conc, aod, nitrogen deposition but there are jobs pointing to $CMIP6_ANCILS/model_derived/ukesm1.0_historical_r2i1p1f2_u-bc292/n96e/clim_2005-2014 which does not seem to exist anymore.
I don’t have the job-id of the official CMIP6 2014 timeslice unfortunately, so I have just found these by digging through roses!
Thanks,
Hannah
(even this folder is not exactly what I expected as it is 2005-2014 climatology not a 2014 climatology, but perhaps this has not been run?)
Hannah
the find command is your friend
grenvill@ln04:/work/y07/shared/umshared> find . -name ukesm1.0_historical_r2i1p1f2_u-bc292
./CMIP6_ANCIL/data/ancils/model_derived/ukesm1.0_historical_r2i1p1f2_u-bc292

Hi Grenville,
Thanks but I think this is still missing the folder I want (the clim_2005-2014 folder). The parent one is there but not the climatology for 2014, only the timeseries.
The find command with clim_2005-2014 did not show anything for me.
Best,
Hannah
maybe you are right - the suite may not have been run. Digging through roses is no guarantee.
sure, I have seen it used in a few different jobs though and if not I don’t know what the 2014 timeslice runs have been using as I think these were CMIP6 runs also?
Hi Hannah,
On Jasmin you can find them here:
/gws/nopw/j04/cmip6_prep_vol1/cmip6_ancils/data/ancils/model_derived/ukesm1.0_historical_r2i1p1f2_u-bc292/n96e/clim_2005-2014
I can put them on Archer2 if helpful.
Cheers,
James
Hi James,
Thank you so much! I can transfer them to Archer2!
Cheers,
Hannah
