Hi Patrick,
I think AutoAssess includes albedo benchmarking, is that correct? If so, can you tell me which product is used and whether I can find it on JASMIN or MONSOON? Where do you run AutoAssess? Many thanks for your help!
Best wishes,
Markus

Patrick helped me via email but told me to open a ticket for this.
Hi Markus
OldAutoAssess does have the capability to do comparisons of albedo to observations.
The observations are computed from sw_alb=swout/swin, from these stash codes:
start:swout
stash:1208
title:Outgoing shortwave (TOA)
standard_name:toa_outgoing_shortwave_flux
end:
start:swin
stash:1207
title:Incoming shortwave (TOA)
standard_name:toa_incoming_shortwave_flux
end:
The observation datafiles on JASMIN that OldAutoAssess uses for albedo is EBAF for the 5 different seasonal periods:
/gws/nopw/j04/esmeval/cma/clim_obs/CERES/EBAF_CMIP5/supermeansnc/CERES-EBAF_L4_Ed2-6_200003-201002.*.nc
You might need to request access to the esmeval GWS to access these.
Patrick
Hi Markus:
Can you see the EBAF SW flux variables in those files? Did you already have access to the esmeval
GWS? Or did you need to apply for access in the last few days?
Patrick
