Change for Retirement of JASMIN Gridftp server - v12.0 fcm_make_pp question

Hi,
I’m trying to make these changes for a currently running suite, u-dl281, running UM version 12.0.

For step 2 I have this for the pp sources entry:

fcm:moci.xm-br/dev/rosalynhatcher/postproc_2.3_pptransfer_gridftp_nopw@4422

Can I just change it to the 2.3 equivalent below?

2. Suite Changes:

  • In panel fcm_make_pp -> configuration check you are using one of the following 2 postproc branches:
    • postproc_2.3_archer2_jasmin_rewrite
    • postproc_2.4_archer2_jasmin_rewrite

Are there additional changes I need to make apart from those in the instructions?

Hi Gillian,

  • Change the revision number from @4422. Either remove the revision number totally or change it to @5411.

  • In app/postproc/rose-app.conf add the following variables to the [namelist:pptransfer] section and set gridftp=false:

    globus_cli=true
globus_default_colls=true
globus_notify='off'

Then if you’re updating an already running suite follow step 3.
