Here you can raise all your modelling support queries (topics) covering Unified Model, NEMO, problems logging into supported platforms like ARCHER2, etc.
Before raising a query first search the forum to see if this issue has been raised before. If you have access to the Met Office Science Repository Service check their guide for Known UM Failure Points and also Tips on Running Climate Type Suites
Also take a look at the Docs area of the helpdesk where you will find answers to many frequently asked questions.
To raise a new support query click the New Topic button.
Select the appropriate Category for the topic, e.g. Unified Model. If you’re not sure then leave the topic as uncategorized.
Information to include in a ticket:
Include as much information as is relevant, but especially:
- Be sure to include the id of the UM job/suite (eg xbcde, u-ax291).
- Cut and paste any error messages you have.
- Provide the full path to the log files containing the error.
If your query relates to Archer2, please make sure that your /home and /work spaces are visible to the CMS team. To do so run the following commands:
chmod -R g+rX /home/n02/n02/<your-username>
chmod -R g+rX /work/n02/n02/<your-username>
