Standard archer2 suites for CMIP6 style SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios

Hello,
I am planning on running some some CMIP6 style experiments on Archer2 using HadGEM3-GC3.1-N96ORCA1 (i.e. the -LL config) using the SSP245 and 585 scenarios. I know about u-as037 which is the piControl CMIP6 archer 2 suite, but is there a working suite for 245 and 585 that I could copy? Ideally something like u-bj616, which includes the ozone redistribution, but which has been adapted to run on Archer2.

I hesitate to make a suggestion about which suite is best for your needs. A recommendation from someone who has run SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios would be a safer approach.

We have ozone redistribution working in select suites that run on Archer2 and are working on a robust implementation but that’s not ready just yet.

Great to hear the ozone redistribution is working on some suites. Do you have some examples of suites that are working?

Thanks for the links. Yes I know about these, they are all Monsoon suites. These are the suites I am trying to identify if anyone has already ported over to Archer2. So I am looking for a HadGEM3-GC3.1-LL (or similar) suite which has been ported over with ozone redistribution and has of the SSP scenario.

I could start with the piControl standard Archer2 job, add ozone redistribution and add the forcings, but that is a pretty big task. There are a lot of changes to implement and a lot of these changes I can’t identify if the changes are necessary or not. I could work on porting the suites but I am trying to identify first if it has already been done.

I thought you or someone on the helpdesk might know as I am sure people need help doing the porting so you may know about if such a suite already existed. But I get the feeling it this has not been ported yet. Is that true?

We’re not aware of the status of the suites you refer to with respect to porting to Archer2. We can help with porting with advice and some hands-on support. The UM version may be a problem, but if the data needed to drive the suite is still available, there’s a decent chance that it will port successfully. We have ported other CMIP6 suites.
